Craft as practice
Every garment is born from an inspiration that comes from far back.
AUTHORS FROM CAPRI
Every garment is born from an inspiration that comes from far back.
Fabrics are chosen personally. Touched, tested, known before they become a garment.
In the atelier, each seamstress follows the garment from beginning to end. A process that takes time, that allows no shortcuts. This is the difference between a garment made and a garment built.
The fabrics are personally selected. Touched, tested, and understood long before becoming a garment.
In the atelier, each seamstress follows the piece from start to finish. A process that requires time and allows no shortcuts. This is the difference between a garment that is made and one that is crafted.
The seams are not an invisible detail. They are the point where the level of a garment is recognised. The stitching, the precision of the points, the internal finish. The weight of a mother-of-pearl button, the care of a buttonhole, the choice of the label and every detail that does not announce itself — but is always recognised.
If a garment cannot be made well, it simply is not made. Craftsmanship here is not a word to tell. It is a daily practice.
