It all begins with nonna Maria in a small atelier in Anacapri. Capri was already a Grand Tour destination, and every summer women arrived from Rome, Paris, London, looking for a few bespoke pieces. They were not large productions. They were precise gestures.
It was a place where work was never separate from life. Where the craft was passed down through the family, almost without saying so.
The roots
Nonna Maria’s atelier was a family affair. A place where the craft was passed down almost without saying so, day after day, season after season.
To the youngest of the granddaughters, Antonella, her grandmother would often say: "This machine will be yours. You will sit here." She never forgot.
The return to Capri
Over the years the atelier moved, but the dream remained the same: to return to Capri, to open a shop there.
Autori Capresi is born from that continuity. Not from a romantic gesture, but from the fulfilment of an ancient desire. An unspoken promise, kept through actions.
